Passport Dinner

Enjoy German Cusine in this fundraiser sponsored by the Streator Downtown Area Businesses.  The event takes place at Park Place, 406 E. Hickory St. A social hour will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a six-course sit-down German dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50. Pipe Dreams Organ Concert - Feb 15 & 16

Returning in 2014, visitors will be treated to the remarkable sounds of five different pipe organs as they attend concerts daily at Streator churches.
There is no charge for the concerts, but a free will offering will be taken, with proceeds going to the Majestic Theater, to help update the projection system.

The schedule for the concerts is as follows:

1 PM Park Presbyterian Church - Nancy Mueller, organist and Louise Collins, pianist.
2 PM Holy Trinity Lutheran Church - Pastor Peter Glock and Jordan Glock, organists.
3 PM First United Methodist Church - Elaine Cunningham, organist.

3 PM St. Paul’s Lutheran Church - Jerry Keck, organist

Musical selections vary from classical to modern. Some examples are: “Prelude and Fugue in E-flat minor,” “Beautiful Savior,” “A Mighty Fortress,” “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”

Taste of the Town
The Taste of the Town is an annual culinary event and auction, and is held at the Knights of Columbus. The event has generated more than $100,000 during its five-year history and continues to be a successful venture for local restaurants to feature their unique foods. Dirty Mudder Bike Race

Grab your mountain, cyclocross or even road bike and head out to Marilla Park to try our 62 mile ride full of rolling hills of gravel, dirt and grass and less than 7 miles of blacktop. For those not looking to tackle all 62 miles we have added a shorter 35 mile ride full of rolling hills of gravel and minimal blacktop.
Registration opens at 7am, Roll out at 10am
Pre-registration will include a free stem spacer/bottle opener
$30 includes swag and post ride food, $35 day of registration
Preregistration will open soon and will be capped at 250 riders.

Roamer Cruise Night and Car Show. The largest cruise night in downstate Illinois, featuring over 500 cars and 18,000 spectators in the downtown business district. On display is a 1917 Roamer, originally built in Streator. Cars will cruise from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday evening. Food, music, prizes, family fun. The car show will be held Saturday in Marilla Park from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with trophies awarded.

The walk starts at 10am at Streator High School at the corner of Bloomington and Lincoln St. We will walk to the Streator City Park(300 E Hickory) to the new band shelter. Speakers, balloon release, music and food. Please join us to educate and pay tribute to our loved ones who have died from this terrible disease.
