Pipe Dreams Organ Concert -Feb 21-22

Returning in 2015, visitors will be treated to the remarkable sounds of six different pipe organs as they attend concerts daily at Streator churches. 
There is no charge for the concerts, but a free will offering will be taken, with proceeds going to the Streator Grade School Band-Aids.


Musical selections vary from classical to modern. Some examples are: “Prelude and Fugue in E-flat minor,” “Beautiful Savior,” “A Mighty Fortress,” “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”

The Taste of the Town is an annual culinary event and auction, and is held at the Knights of Columbus. The event has generated more than $100,000 during its five-year history and continues to be a successful venture for local restaurants to feature their unique foods. This year's beneficiaries the Brain Injury Clubhouse, VAC (Meals on Wheels), March of Dimes and Streator Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition. Dirty Mudder Bike Race

Grab your mountain, cyclocross or even road bike and head out to Marilla Park to try our 62 mile ride full of rolling hills of gravel, dirt and grass and less than 7 miles of blacktop. For those not looking to tackle all 62 miles we have added a shorter 35 mile ride full of rolling hills of gravel and minimal blacktop.
Registration opens at 7am, Roll out at 10am
Preregistration will open soon and will be capped at 250 riders.

See hundreds of feet of walls covered in Autumn Clematis; followed by punch in Luther Hal. The Autumn Clematis should bloom for 2 weeks.

September 5, 2015
Roamer Cruise Night and Car Show. The largest cruise night in downstate Illinois, featuring over 500 cars and 18,000 spectators in the downtown business district. On display is a 1917 Roamer, originally built in Streator. Cars will cruise from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday evening. Food, music, prizes, family fun. The car show will be held Saturday in Marilla Park from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with trophies awarded.

Light Up Streator, the thirteenth anniversary of the lighting of the Christmas holiday decorations in the City Park. The event features a market place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Christmas toy drive, food, live music and a special visit by Santa.
